Origins – The Drew Family of Glasgow, Scotland

Beginning with a maltman named John Drew in 1577 and a later marriage to Bethia Hamilton, the family rose with Glasgow’s Atlantic trade, spread to colonial New Brunswick and Australia, and eventually linked into Scottish gentry, colonial judiciary and a bearded Victorian calico‑printer on Loch Lomond.
