Eversley, Heversham, Cumbria

Eversley is a mid‑Victorian limestone country house near Milnthorpe in south Cumbria, once in old Westmorland, looking across the Kent estuary to the Lakeland fells. Built in the 1850s for cotton merchant Frank Atkinson Argles, it later became the Drew family home and, after the Second World War, the Wakefields’ residence.
