Seán O’Casey (1880–1964) – A Child of the Docklands

Born at 85 Upper Dorset Street in 1880, Seán O’Casey grew up in the East Wall — Hawthorn Terrace, Abercorn Road, St Barnabas’ Church, the Great Northern Railway and the Irish Citizen Army before the Abbey Theatre made him famous.
